Perla Trevino, FNP-C
Pearl Trevino is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology at Texas A & M University Corpus Christi then pursued a career in Nursing and received her Associates of Applied Science in Nursing from Del Mar College and her Masters of Science in Nursing at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is certified in Chemotherapy & Biotherapy by the Oncology Nursing Society.
Pearl’s prior experience is predominantly working as a Registered Nurse in an inpatient Hematology-Oncology, Med-Surgical Unit for several years where she administered chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions to patients. Throughout her nursing career she worked in a variety of different settings including working in a Radiation Oncology clinic, Cardiovascular Clinic, LTAC facilities and Inpatient and Outpatient Pediatric settings.
She has an interest in Oncology as well as Cardio-Oncology which relates to the intersection of cardiovascular disease and cancer. She is passionate about patient centered care and believes in building a long lasting and trusting relationship with both her patients and their families. Pearl is married and has a daughter and two sons.
